the mission

In a modern age overwhelmed by media it can be difficult to nail down the truth, or even to find mention of it amongst the towering stacks of competing daily headlines. But one human being face to face with another speaking their story does not come with those same shifty strings – it’s just a conversation. This project intends to offer each reader an opportunity to glimpse into the life of another and learn something, be it about the world or themselves. Staying in the known is easy, but reaching beyond opens the sky and renders new opportunities that couldn’t possibly be dreamt up in a bubble. The Etalia Project hopes to be a chance for anyone to extend just one baby toe out there and discover new waters.

It’s not the size of the house .. it’s who’s in that motherfucker. Just as a home full of strangers creates conflict, so too a planet divided rebuffs joy. The distances between us as individuals and us as societies runs far and wide, but so too does the power of genuine connection if only we enable it. So here’s to building bridges, baby!! I hope you are inspired by these stories, and more than that, by these people. Because at the end of the day, we are all mirrors for each other, and in healing ourselves, we heal the world.
