“… and others”
“Etalia” comes from the Latin word et alia, commonly abbreviated to et al, meaning simply, “and others.” Typically used in scholarly writing as a way to signify the contributions of a grand number of authors without listing each individual, it functions as a fitting name of a project that contrives to share the stories of people from around the world, emboldening the collective creation of many before our paths have even crossed.
